Exclusive Photopolymer Printmaking Workshop
Course overview
Discover the beauty and precision of photopolymer printmaking in this special hands-on workshop led by artists Mirry Stolzenberg and Philippe Mateus. This innovative technique combines photography, drawing, and traditional intaglio printing, allowing you to create richly detailed, high-quality prints with fine tonal variations.
Using light-sensitive photopolymer plates, you'll learn how to transfer your chosen image onto the plate using UV exposure, develop it with water (an eco-friendly alternative to acid etching), and then print it using intaglio inks and chine collé.
Mirry and Philippe will guide you through each step, from image preparation and plate exposure to inking and printing, ensuring you leave with a beautiful editioned print and the confidence to continue exploring this technique on your own.
